Wilson Park Fitness Trail
Shortly after providing services to the Granite City Park District on the new Wilson Park Swimming Pool, Juneau was asked by community leaders within the City of Granite City to assist the Granite City Park District in constructing a fitness trail through and around the perimeter of Wilson Park. Juneau accepted the challenge and associated local organizations and the Park District to raise private funds toward funding the project. The Park District matched the funds and services that had been donated and a 6-foot-wide asphalt fitness trail was constructed in Wilson Park. Juneau designed the trail, prepared the plans and specifications and assisted the Park District with engineering during construction.
Juneau was later awarded the Granite City Park District “Appreciation Award” for their design and assistance on this community project.
