Louis Dreyfus site for Dome Technology

Juneau Associates, Inc., P.C. provided professional land surveying services for Louis Dreyfus Commodities, LLC, at its Cahokia, Illinois facility, including boundary surveys, construction staking, topographic surveys and detailed measurements on existing conveyors and towers to utilize in the design of future improvements.

Recently, Juneau Associates staked the location of 425 proposed geopiers on the Louis Dreyfus site for Dome Technology, a company that specializes in dome storage solutions. The project will house a dome measuring 127 feet in diameter and 99 feet tall, holding 18,000 metric tons of grain. Construction is set to be complete in May 2016.

The inherent strength of the dome offers diverse foundation and reclaim options and can benefit areas where soil conditions would otherwise require deep foundations. The pier locations were staked with GPS technology in 2 work days.
