Granite City Sewer Improvements
Juneau was hired by the City of Granite City to evaluate its existing city sewer system and make recommendations for improvements. Juneau evaluated different repair options and recommended that the city sewers be lined with a cured-in-place lining system and helped secure funding of $8 million through the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) to help fund the project.
Covering the area between West Granite and downtown Granite City, Juneau inspected and lined all sewers, where appropriate, ranging in size from 8” to 108,” covering 100 manholes and completing improvements to 2 lift stations.
