ILLINOIS TOLLWAY M-6 RECONSTRUCTION | KANE COUNTY, ILLINOIS
Juneau Associates, Inc., P.C. (Juneau) was contracted to support Construction Management (CM) services for ESI Consultants LTD and the Illinois Tollway for the reconstruction of M-6 Maintenance Yard of the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) at Mile Post 41.9, in Marengo, in Kane County, Illinois.
The work under this Contract consisted of: removal and installation of new underground fuel storage including soils removal; abatement and building demolition; site grading for detention, building foundations and paving; replacement of sanitary sewer and storm sewer on site; installation of site lighting; construction of a maintenance facility and truck wash facility; installation of a communications shelter; upgrading servers and network switches; achieve LEED Silver Certification as mandated by the State of Illinois Green Building Act.
Juneau was responsible for the inspection, reporting and documentation of high and low voltage electrical work items pertaining to the installation and connection of electrical power distribution components including switch gears, automatic and manual transfer switches, photo voltaic panels and inverters, lighting and power outlet panel boards, fire alarm, security and data systems.
